Today is Earth Day, a day to celebrate our planet and remember our responsibility to take care of it. So today of all days, it’d be hard to ignore the giant threat facing our planet -- and that’s climate change.
Climate action isn’t just a policy priority or a talking point; frankly, it’s an obligation.
We’re already seeing the effects of climate change in the shape of extreme weather events like wildfires, hurricanes, and flooding, and a recent U.N. climate report says we’re running out of time to avoid the worst outcomes of the climate crisis.
Climate change will impact virtually every aspect of our lives -- our environment but also agriculture and food security, our financial system, public health, property values, labor, national security. The list goes on.
We can’t ignore climate change and we can’t wait any longer to take action to address it.
That’s why climate action is a top priority for me in the Senate. I want to return to the Senate after 2022 so I can continue this fight, but I can’t do that without the support of people like you. Will you chip in to our campaign today? [[link removed]]

I’ve secured millions of dollars in funding to restore and conserve Hawaii’s natural resources, protecting our coastlines, coral reefs, and endangered species.
I’ve also introduced and advanced legislation that would reduce emissions; combat illegal deforestation; and support communities of color, native communities, and low-income communities that are disproportionately impacted by climate change.
Those are the types of measures we need to take to protect our planet for future generations. There are also actions we can take to address climate change while strengthening our economy.
By investing in clean energy, we can create jobs, make our country less reliant on foreign energy sources, and even lower energy costs for families. That’s why I helped pass the infrastructure bill to make our infrastructure more resilient in the face of climate change and extreme weather events and expand electric vehicle charging stations, all while creating millions of good jobs.
I’m leading the charge on climate action in the Senate because inaction isn’t an option. And with your support and generous contributions, I can return to the Senate and keep moving the needle forward on this critical issue. Click here to chip into our campaign now. → [[link removed]]
