John – when I was on MSNBC, they asked me: "why do you think Chuck Grassley is so all in on Trump and the Big Lie?"

I have quite a few thoughts on that. Let me explain.

I watched Sen. Grassley stand on stage with Donald Trump and enthusiastically accept his "complete and total endorsement." 

I watched Sen. Grassley fervently defend Donald Trump's attempts to use the Department of Justice to overturn our free and fair election.

I even watched Sen. Grassley proudly promote conspiracy theories about the Jan. 6 insurrection at a town hall here in Iowa.

After 47 years in Washington, Sen. Grassley has turned his back on Iowans in favor of conspiracy theories and lies. He has taken marching orders from the de facto leader of his party. He has lost his backbone when it comes to protecting our democracy. It makes sense that only 27% of likely Iowa voters want to reelect Sen. Grassley to an eighth term.

This is why our campaign to defeat Sen. Grassley is so important – and why I must ask you to make your very first donation to meet our urgent midnight fundraising goal. Although my opponent's actions are disappointing, they're unsurprising: Sen. Grassley has a long history of advancing a radical agenda at the expense of Iowa and our country. Just look at how he conspired with Mitch McConnell's allies to steal a Supreme Court seat from President Obama – and then rammed through confirmations of ultraconservative justices, helping create the far-right 6-3 majority we have today.

No wonder Donald Trump rallied here in Iowa with Sen. Grassley. It's clear they'll do whatever it takes to take back the Senate and then the White House. Our race here in Iowa is critical to stopping them.
