The theme of this year’s Earth Day is all about investing in our planet.
For us, that means investing in electing leaders who will champion progressive green climate solutions in office.
That’s exactly why we’ve endorsed candidates like
Kimi Cole who serves as Chair of the Rural Caucus of Nevada where she's involved on the water and public lands committee, leading efforts to preserve Nevada’s natural resources. Having deep roots in both the rural and urban corners of the state, she understands the need for unity to ensure equitable water access to ALL Nevadans.
And
Jamie McLeod-Skinner who comes from a background of ranchers and has been on the frontlines of natural disaster relief in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires in Oregon. Meanwhile her Democratic opponent Kurt Schrader has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in corporate cash from the fossil fuel industry.
We’ve also got
Joe Thompson who is an expert in environmental policy. Their plan to make California a leader in sustainability includes direct funding to low-income and Black and Brown communities who are most vulnerable to the negative impacts of the climate crisis.
Our candidates understand the need for environmental justice and are brave enough to demand bold climate action.
