MESSAGE FROM CATHERINE

Dear John,

The disease of addiction is brutal and we see the impact on our streets every day. When those suffering from substance abuse disorder make the brave decision to get the help they need, it’s important that barriers to recovery are removed. I’ve heard from individuals suffering from addiction that they can't go to a rehabilitation program because they have no one to care for their dog. No one should have to choose between necessary medical care and abandoning a beloved companion.

Now, we can help! My office has been working with Dogs Matter <[link removed]> to provide temporary foster care placement and supportive services for the dogs of those seeking recovery from addiction.

If you are interested in fostering a dog, please sign up HERE <[link removed]>and reach out to my office at [email protected] with any questions. Thank you for your consideration and for anyone seeking recovery, you are not alone. You can call 415-674-1821 for confidential advice and help.

Warm Regards,

Catherine

As a fellow dog lover, I know the joy, love and companionship that pets can bring.
