Hey John,

My campaign manager Camille just reminded me there are less than 50 days to the primary - so I thought I’d check in with you about our progress.

Usually, our campaign would be focused on the General Election in November, but this time, things are a bit different because of redistricting. Now I’m running in a brand new seat where 2/3rds of the voters may have never been introduced to me before!

On top of that, California has a top-two primary system so we’re actually competing directly against Republicans. If we don’t have the turnout we need, a Republican could place first and take the momentum. We cannot let that happen.

You can probably tell how serious this is by my tone - we can’t afford to take anything for granted. Our amazing team of organizers and volunteers are already on the ground along with a massive Latino organizing program going full force into this election - now we just need your help to keep these efforts funded as we ramp up for this June election day.
