Hey John,

There is no climate justice if we’re not working to uplift, listen to, and resource the communities who are at the center of climate catastrophe. Bvlbancha (so-called New Orleans) is ground zero of the climate crisis and is where we’re hosting our April 2023 climate justice convergence. Now that we’re approaching Earth Day, I want to make sure you save the date for Power Shift 2023 happening from April 5-7, 2023.

The destruction that happens in the Gulf South trickles down to other parts of the country thanks to the ravaging petrochemicals industry, constant storms, and land being lost (if not stolen) at rapid rates. It makes it all the more critical for us to all come together now to plan how to support Bvlbancha while giving ourselves the tools to survive and thrive collectively.  

If you haven’t already, let us know what skills and connections you need to feel safe and survive (and thrive!) amidst climate catastrophe. This will help us as we plan the programming young folks especially need as we navigate climate anxiety and catastrophe together.
