Dear John,
There’s still time to register for WE ACT’s Earth Day 5K - our virtual race starts on Earth Day, this Friday, the 22nd, and continues until May 1, when we’ll hold our in-person race on Randall’s Island! Virtual participants can use social media to share screenshots of their run times, as well as pictures from their walks or runs. Just tag our profiles- we’re excited to see what you have to share!
In-person participants can meet us at the flagpole just North of Icahn Stadium starting at 8:30 AM on Sunday, May 1st! Before starting the race, we’ll hear some important updates from our Director of Policy and Director of Organizing. After the race, we’ll have a small awards ceremony with prizes and some light refreshments. Prizes include gear and t-shirts from Patagonia, a membership to the Maysles Documentary Center, rock climbing passes from The Cliffs at Harlem, and more! We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
If you have already registered, please take this short survey to let us know how you’ll be participating in the 5k!
Register today to help support WE ACT’s advocacy and organizing work toward climate justice! If you can’t join us, please consider making a donation to support our work, and if you’re interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Corina Fuentes at [email protected].
Best,
