Transphobia and
Human Trafficking

There has been a troubling rise in transphobia lately, as seen by an increase in fatal violence ([link removed]) , recent efforts to pass anti-transgender legislation ([link removed]) , and an escalation of discrimination ([link removed]) based on gender identity or sexual orientation. FNUSA's 2022 Anti-Trafficking Conference
"A wide variety of fantastic workshop content, and flexibility to include both in-person and virtual attendees. It was fantastic!"

Thank you to everyone who participated in our hybrid conference held March 15th - 17th! It was great being able to celebrate the event's 20th anniversary with both virtual and in-person audiences. We had a fantastic time connecting with and learning from everyone. We hope you can all join us again next year in Washington, DC!

Policy Win: FNUSA Helps Get the CDC's Title 42 Terminated!

FNUSA joined in several letters calling for the end of the CDC's harmful Title 42 policy. Title 42 is a Trump-era policy that expels people seeking asylum at the border back to danger, under the guise of COVID-19 public health necessity. However, public health experts have disproved its necessity and detailed how the practice further endangered populations. We will be watching to make sure that the Biden Administration allows all asylum-seekers, including trafficking survivors, to enter the US to seek protection.
