Earlier this year, Tennessee Republicans redrew congressional maps to break up the progressive stronghold of Nashville — where Justice Democrat Odessa Kelly was running in TN’s 5th Congressional District. The GOP did this to essentially remove a blue seat in Nashville and form house districts that favor Republicans.

This is racist, anti-democratic gerrymandering. The GOP is doing everything it can to block Black, brown, and low-income voters from getting the representation they need in Congress.

Will you stand with Odessa and Justice Democrats today and add your name to call on Congress to immediately ban racist, anti-democratic gerrymandering?

Odessa re-launched her campaign after redistricting and is running in TN’s 7th District — it will be an uphill fight, taking on a Republican incumbent in a tough district.

Our fight for a more just and equitable society will continue, and so will our fight to fairly represent the interests of historically disenfranchised voters. The GOP knows the majority of the country does not support its policies, so it will continue to gerrymander, break rules, and game the system in order to keep control. We can’t let it continue, John.
