At Food & Water Watch, we believe that people power is what makes lasting change to protect our food, water, and the planet. And with your support, Food & Water Watch, along with our allies, has:
Stopped proposed fracked gas power plants in Newburgh, Astoria, and Brooklyn, New York, and passed a landmark ban on gas combustion in new buildings in New York City.
Overwhelmingly won our ballot initiative for 100% renewable community choice energy aggregation (CCA) in Teaneck, New Jersey. And we collected enough signatures to put CCA on the November 2022 ballot in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Defeated the Chickahominy pipeline that would have delivered fracked gas to a now-canceled fracked gas power plant in Virginia.
