I’m prepping for this week’s debate -- we’ve got to talk about the Republicans in this race. (And the national Republicans influencing the 2022 Arkansas General Election.)

Earlier this year, Donald Trump stood on a stage in Texas and gave my likely GOP opponent Leslie Rutledge a huge shout-out, saying he wished NY had an Attorney General like her. 👀

Rutledge (the current AG of Arkansas) has *also* earned the endorsement of Trump’s former Press Secretary and current Arkansas gubernatorial candidate Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Donald Trump’s Save America PAC has more than $108 MILLION in his war chest, and a group of national Republican operatives has launched a new committee *specifically* designed to elect far right conservative women Governors in 2022.

I’m the only Democrat in the race for Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas, so I don’t have a challenger during the May 2022 primary. Our focus is on November and supporting every other Democrat who will be on the ballot with me.

I’ll keep it real with you: I’ll be outraised and outspent in this race, so my team is smart with our investments. Still, we need to be in a position to compete with Rutledge and her outside money.

We need to go with more billboards, ads, and mailers -- and grow our field team so we can out-hustle Republicans at the doors and on the phones.
