Putin understands that western energy independence is a direct threat to his power. If the West is dependent on Russia for energy, he believes it limits our ability to keep his ambitions in check.
That’s why it is so important that we emphasize real, sensible solutions to both protect our environment and ensure that energy production keeps pace. But Democrats are too beholden to their green ideology to compromise.
