John,

It’s simple -- our government should answer to the voters, NOT special interests and out-of-state corporations. But for too long, Mississippi’s legislative leadership has mismanaged taxpayer money and created policies that hurt working people in Mississippi. That’s why Jim is running for governor -- to clean up corruption and create a government that’s transparent and accountable. Will you sign onto our petition showing your support for Jim’s legislative reforms?

Jim Hood has a clear plan to take power and influence away from large special interests and put it back in the hands of the people of Mississippi. That means:

Restricting corporate campaign contributions.

Prohibiting campaign contributions while the legislature is in session.

Subjecting our legislators to the Public Records Act like every other public official.

These reforms will increase transparency in our state government and make it so that our legislature is once again accountable to the people who vote for them.

Sign our petition to support Jim’s proposal to clean up Mississippi’s government.
