Now here’s a look at our Democratic candidates running in our five Priority Races:

» Senator Emily Randall is a community organizer and a strong leader in the fight for affordable health care and higher education. After flipping her seat from red to blue in 2018, she became the first out queer woman in the State Senate!

» Senator John Lovick is running in one of the most competitive districts in Washington! Senator Lovick was a State Trooper for 31 years and previously served as Snohomish County Executive and Speaker Pro Tempore in the State House.

» Senator Claire Wilson flipped her seat in 2018, becoming the first out lesbian in the State Senate! She’s spent decades working in early education and served as a school board member for Federal Way Public Schools.

» Representative Sharon Shewmake is running against an appointed Republican Senator in the 42nd legislative district. She’s an economist and teacher who is dedicated to fighting for working families in Whatcom County!

» Satwinder Kaur is running in a swing district that we flipped from red to blue in 2018! She’s a member of the Kent City Council with a record of public service and strengthening K-12 education.
