We’re writing with exciting news: We’re thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Her Bold Move to support more Democratic candidates in this year’s critical midterm elections!
Her Bold Move started their work at about the same time as No Dem Left Behind, and for the same reason: We both identified a gap in traditional candidate support systems that we knew someone had to fill, so we decided to “be the change.”
For No Dem Left Behind, that means supporting Democratic candidates in rural and working-class “red” states and districts where Republicans have recently dominated.
For Her Bold Move, that means supporting Democratic women who are fighting to shatter glass ceilings by running for seats that have previously only been held by men.
Both groups – rural and working-class Democrats and Democratic women – face many of the same obstacles when running for office: All too often, they aren’t taken seriously by the establishment and are forced to fight tooth-and-nail to find the resources they need to win.
We are excited to join forces to change all that. We want to live in a country where candidates are evaluated based on their plans, policies, experiences, and dedication to constituents – not (often bogus!) preconceptions about their “viability” or fundraising skill.
We need your help to elect the next wave of rural and working-class Democrats and Democratic women. Will you chip in a split donation of $20.22 to help us do that today?
Her Bold Move shares many of the same values as No Dem Left Behind. We both believe in supporting candidates who will fight for:
- A mandatory living wage
- Paid parental leave
- Clean air and water
- Green jobs
- Public funding for community college and trade school
… and all the other great ideas Democrats have to make life better for every American.
We also believe in supporting candidates who will push back against the Radical Right by:
- Defending democracy and voting rights
- Preserving the right to choose
- Protecting civil rights for minorities and marginalized groups
- Reforming our nation’s justice system
- Keeping church and state separate
… and staying vigilant against those who would turn our country into a right-wing dictatorship.
Ultimately, both our groups have the same goal: To bring real representation to people who have been left out of the conversation for far too long.
No Dem Left Behind and Her Bold Move both seek to change the face of leadership in this nation, but we need your help to elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in tough, but winnable districts all across the nation.
