Last week, we had a huge win. Our lawsuit to protect student free speech in Florida will proceed despite Governor DeSantis’ attempt to throw out our lawsuit.

In case you haven’t heard, we’re suing Florida along with the United Faculty of Florida to stop the implementation of HB233 – a bill that gives preferential treatment to extreme perspectives, and imposes dangerous regulations that restrict the exercise of free speech and protest on Florida’s college campuses. John, you can help us continue our fight against HB233 by chipping in $5 or more.

This lawsuit is more important than ever, especially since Governor DeSantis just signed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill into law, which further limits free speech in schools. It’s clear that Governor DeSantis is doing everything he can to limit students' ability to speak and protest freely on school campuses on important issues, including gun violence. That’s why we’re a part of this lawsuit.

John, our recent win is moving us a step closer to stopping HB233, but our lawsuit still has a long way to go. Help us in our continued effort to protect student free speech in Florida chipping in $5 or more.
