VICE PRESIDENT, RESEARCH

Reporting to the President/CEO, the Vice President of Research will set and guide the research strategy and agenda for the Institute for Women’s Policy Research. They will play a critical role in ensuring that IWPR is leveraging its research for maximum impact and influence at the local, state and national levels, and that it lands in the hands of citizens, changemakers, key stakeholders and others who can use it to accelerate change in the lives of girls, women and families. They will also oversee and manage the research program and staff, and collaborate with the senior leadership team, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders to advance the mission, vision and values of IWPR. They will also have experience using and integrating racial equity and intersectional frameworks and analysis in research study designs, written reports, and other publications.

SENIOR DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS

Reporting to the President/CEO, the Senior Director of Communications will set and guide the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate the mission, vision, and values of IWPR to external audiences and stakeholders. They will build and manage relationships with the media and other key entities, work to maintain brand and messaging consistency, and the advancement of brand awareness and visibility efforts with relevant constituents. They will also drive broader awareness on issues related to women’s economic security and wellbeing, and donor support for the organization.

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, DIGITAL AND PRINT

Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, the Communications Manager, Print and Digital will oversee and manage IWPR’s digital media and content projects, including developing and producing content to engage and educate audiences across various channels, including newsletters, blogs, graphics, website, and social media. They will also manage the production and dissemination of IWPR research studies reports, briefs and other related products to the field and key stakeholders. They will also oversee rapid response and engagement activities, the maintenance of the IWPR website, the development and execution of email programs and strategies, including writing appeals and other calls-to-action.

DIRECTOR FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Finance and Human Resources will be responsible for the development and implementation of IWPR’s financial management systems, strategies and goals. In addition to these components, the Director will be charged with implementing more sophisticated systems, policies and procedures both in the finance and Human Resources with the goal of increasing efficiency, reduction in costs, and a mindset for supporting the successful operation of IWPR programs. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and will lead efforts to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, and human resources management.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR, POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION

Reporting to the Vice President of Research, the Program Director for Postsecondary Education will lead IWPR’s research and fundraising on issues of higher education and educational equity. They will develop and implement a strategic vision for this area of IWPR’s research, design and direct studies on relevant issues, oversee staff who work in this program area, and collaborate with the senior leadership team and external stakeholders to advance the mission, vision, and values of IWPR. They will also have experience using and integrating racial equity and intersectional frameworks and analysis in research study designs, written reports, and other publications.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, JOB QUALITY AND FAMILY ECONOMIC SECURITY

IWPR seeks a full-time Research Associate for its projects on job quality and economic security for working families. The Research Associate will contribute to IWPR research, technical assistance, and program development related to paid sick days, paid family and medical leave, pay equity, pensions, and poverty programs. Current projects include a major project on looking at the impact of state paid family and medical leave policies on improved workers’ health and family care outcomes. The Research Associate will also contribute to technical assistance projects to help federal, state, and local stakeholders understand the costs and benefits of adopting paid leave policies, improving wages and pay equity, and preparing workers for retirement.
