Re-elect Quinton Lucas, Mayor of Kansas City

Dear John,

I was honored to represent Kansas City and join President Biden at the White House yesterday as he announced the finalization of a rule that will treat ghost guns like the deadly weapons they are.

President Biden also announced his nomination of Steve Dettelbach — a fellow midwesterner and former U.S. attorney for Ohio — to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Ghost guns have created an enormous threat to public safety in Kansas City and cities across America, and with this new rule and a new Senate-confirmed director, I have hope the ATF will be better-equipped to handle the scourge of gun violence.

But first, we need the Senate to vote to confirm Steve Dettelbach. Will you sign on now to call on the Senate to confirm Steve Dettelbach as the next ATF director so we can move forward in our fight against gun violence?

SIGN ON NOW

I’m proud to be a leader on this issue as we continue our urgent work to save lives in Kansas City and in communities across our country. Preventing gun violence will take each and every one of us, which is why I am so grateful to you for being on this team, John.
