John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:

  • What came before the Russiagate hoax?
A century before the Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax came the Sisson Hoax: official German-Russian communications that purported to show that Russian communist revolutionaries were bought and paid for agents of the German government. Most media of the day and many top-level American politicians credulously swallowed the story, significantly influencing government actions. CRC's Ken Braun reports how history rhymes here.
  • What will a revived lawsuit against Zuck Bucks expose next?
Last week, a Louisiana state appellate court reversed a lower court's decision to throw out an October 2020 lawsuit against the Center for Tech and Civic Life and others who helped funnel “Zuck Bucks” into 13 Louisiana parishes to fund local elections. In its appeal, the state argued that injecting private money into local election offices "has an inherently insidious and corrupting effect." CRC's Hayden Ludwig reveals what we've discovered since here.
  • What is Elon Musk planning?
Elon Musk--of SpaceX, Tesla, and $5.7 billion in charitable gifts no one's yet seen distributed--nearly broke the internet this week when he became the largest single shareholder of Twitter stock and joined the Twitter board of directors. Whatever changes Musk brings to Twitter, CRC will continue watching and reporting on him and other billionaire philanthropists who exert increasing influence over our country. CRC's Sarah Lee reports here.
  • How gerrymandered are the 2022 congressional district maps?
States are finalizing their congressional district maps based on the 2020 Census. Many groups, especially those on the political left like Represent.US, push supposedly "independent" redistricting commissions as a solution to this political gamesmanship. Yet the independent commissions didn't fare well in this redistricting round. CRC's Michael Watson investigates the redistricting efforts here.

On "Zuck Bucks" and the 2020 Election

This week I appeared on Stephen Bannon's War Room to discuss "Zuck Bucks," the 2020 election, and the new documentary Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump.

Among other things, we talked about how Mark Zuckerberg funneled millions of dollars through nonprofits to juice turnout in Democratic strongholds in battleground states and how the mainstream media almost entirely ignored the issue.

A New ERA: The Employee Rights Act

In this episode: We’ve previously discussed the Protecting the Right to Organize Act on the podcast--it’s a laundry list of bad ideas pushed by Big Labor and its allies in Congress that would increase unions’ power to coerce workers into joining and paying dues and increase their power to disrupt the nation's economy and social life.

But for supporters of individual employee rights, an alternative model of labor relations reform exists: the Employee Rights Act, recently reintroduced with an expanded vision of the modern workplace.

Joining us to discuss the proposed legislation is Vinnie Vernuccio, president of the Institute for the American Worker.
