Friends,

Yesterday marked seven months from election day when we will vote to unseat Sharice Davids and bring better representation to the people of KS-03! The road ahead of us will not be easy, but I know that with your support we will be victorious.

INFLATION'S LATEST VICTIM, WORKING FAMILIES:
As a mother of two, the former chair of the Kansas Children's Cabinet, and as a founder of SOCI, a non-profit helping prepare children for the workforce, the issue of early education has always been close to my heart. When families do not have access to affordable childcare, women's careers and lives are disproportionately impacted.

Unfortunately, the pandemic created a childcare crisis. By August of 2021, 177 daycare centers in Kansas City had closed, eliminating over 4,000 spots (2,000 of those in Kansas). By January of 2022, 40% of all childcare centers in Kansas City were shut down. As we all know from Economics 101, scarcity increases prices, and this crisis is no exception. Inflation has made it worse, and right now, childcare in Kansas is 1.3 times as expensive as in-state college tuition. Biden is proposing universal pre-school, but more federal spending equates to even higher inflation and even higher childcare prices.

The best thing that an be done right now to help working women and their families is lowering inflation as quickly as possible and applauding employers who offer childcare solutions. Unfortunately, Sharice Davids has supported every one of Biden's trillion-dollar spending bills, voting against the best interests of the working mothers in her district. Read the full story here.
