This week, I called out the Biden Administration’s disastrous decision to rescind Title 42, the Trump order that kept illegal immigrants out of our country during the public health emergency. That’s how many illegal immigrants could cross into our country EVERY DAY once Joe Biden rescinds Title 42. We are currently experiencing 7,000 illegal crossings every day as our border continues to be overrun. Remember, Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary said that 1,000 per day was a crisis. Joe Biden’s border crisis is unlike anything we’ve seen before. And that’s why we need to take action. Joe Biden claims that we don’t need Title 42 anymore because the pandemic is winding down (even though we are all still forced to wear masks on planes and kids are still forcibly masked in school). But there’s another public health emergency on the rise: fentanyl overdoses. Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for people aged 18-45 in the United States. There were 100,000 in 2021 for this age group, meaning fentanyl killed twice as many people as COVID-19, car accidents, cancer, and suicide. As fentanyl pours across our border and into our communities, we need to extend Title 42 to be used to protect the American people from fentanyl smuggling at our border. Democrats Created an Energy Crisis. Now They Want You to Forget That. CLICK HERE OR ON THE IMAGE ABOVE TO WATCH This week, the Democrats dragged oil and gas executives in front of our Energy and Commerce committee and accused them of keeping gas prices high. I took a hammer to their argument. Democrats want you to forget that they banned drilling, canceled pipelines, and outright said they wanted to destroy the oil and gas industry. Some Democrats at the committee hearing blamed oil companies for not boosting production, even though the same Democrats chastised the oil companies for not doing enough to DECREASE production to address climate change just a couple months earlier. Democrats also want you to forget these facts: Fact #1 - American oil and gas production is cleaner than any other country - it’s cleaner than OPEC’s, AND cleaner than Russia’s. Fact #2 - Global energy demand WILL increase by 50% by 2050, with most of that coming from oil and gas. Fact #3 - Oil and gas contributes to human flourishing. Period. Renewables will never meet the necessary demand that Democrats claim they will. To meet the renewables only climate goals, you’d have to mine lithium 2,000% more. You’d have to mine indium 8,000% more. Cobalt production will need to grow 300-800% more. Even further, for a wind farm to produce the same amount of energy as a nuclear plant, you need 100 times more land. You need 30,000 tons of iron ore, 50,000 tons of concrete, and 900 tons of plastic blades that cannot be recycled. Does this sound like green energy to you? No. And by the way, this ONLY works when the wind is actually blowing. What happens when it stops? Energy production stops. Fact #4 - If American natural gas quadrupled in the next decade, we would be able to displace coal around the world. Half of global emissions are from foreign coal - displace that with cleaner gas, and emissions are reduced by 60%. This is entirely possible, and would solve the energy crisis and, by the way, reduce emissions far more than the foolish, $10 TRILLION Green New Deal ever could. Help me stand up for American energy.
