Washington is broken. There are far too many self-serving politicians who are looking out for their party bosses and special-interest donors instead of their constituents.

This year, the House passed the For The People Act of 2019 -- or H.R. 1. The bill includes these sweeping measures:

  • Expanding voting rights
  • Limiting partisan gerrymandering
  • Strengthening ethics rules
  • Limiting the influence of dark money in politics

This bill would be a big step towards progress in America and is dedicated to putting the power back in the hands of the people, rather than corporations and lobbyists.

However, Mitch McConnell said the bill is “not going to go anywhere in the Senate.” He has yet to put the bill up for a vote -- and he won’t unless we speak out!

Sign my petition to urge Sen. McConnell to hold a vote on H.R. 1. The people have the right to know that their leaders are working for them, which is why we need to make our voices heard.

Republicans are refusing to vote on this legislation because they know it’s popular and would be hard to vote against. So, instead, they’re trying to kill it with inaction.

Add your name now to demand Mitch McConnell brings this critical anti-corruption legislation to a vote in the U.S. Senate. It’s the right thing to do.

And in case you were wondering, Rep. Schweikert voted against this bill, putting extreme partisanship and his corporate overlords before the people of Arizona once again.

Let’s defeat him in 2020!

Thank you so much,
