Friends,

The Senate will vote on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the Supreme Court very soon, and I’d like to hear from you before we do: Do you support confirming Judge Jackson? [[link removed]]

Judge Jackson’s qualifications speak for themselves -- between her judicial clerkships, her work as a public defender, and her service as a trial and appellate judge, there can be no question that Judge Jackson will make an excellent Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

The historic significance of her confirmation must not be understated -- Judge Jackson will be the first African American woman to serve on the highest court in the land.

And her confirmation would lead to a Court with four women justices. That’s particularly notable to me because when I started law school, there had never been a woman justice. The fact that such a positive change has occurred during my professional career gives me hope about our nation’s progress towards true equality.

In short: It is in the best interest of our country and of Virginia that we confirm Judge Jackson, and I am proud to support her.

Right now, a groundswell of support for her confirmation will make it known that people all across America are standing up for justice, progress, and equality.

So please, add your name to our petition right now to show your support for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the nation’s highest court. [[link removed]]
