While Democrats are focused on impeachment and voting Trump out in 2020, he’s using every possible moment to cause as much damage as possible -- especially with his environmental policies. Trump has gutted emissions standards, expanded logging and mining, and now, he wants to expand offshore drilling into the Atlantic.
Expanding offshore drilling would be devastating to our environment and coastal economies, and the GOP knows it, but all they care about are corporate donations. They may not care about the future of our planet or the health of our children, but America does.
Joe Cunningham, a Democrat, flipped an R+10 district in South Carolina in 2018 on a platform opposing offshore drilling with support from pro-environment Republicans. If everyone raises their voices and speaks out, it can cause real change.
