Have you added your name in support of universal background checks, John?
This past weekend we witnessed yet another surge in gun violence, but Congress still refuses to tackle this public health crisis with the urgency it deserves.
In just one week, Congress is heading into their Easter recess. While they’re on break we’ll still be organizing online and on the ground to send a message to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer: bring universal background checks to a vote on the Senate floor.
John, add your name if you’d like to join us in sending a message to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
FWD: We have a gun safety majority, so why haven’t we passed universal background checks?

Hey John,
In just a couple of weeks, Congress will be heading into recess, but while they’re on a break, 316 people will be shot every day.
We won’t be taking a break from advocating for Congress to take action to end gun violence, because we can’t afford to. You can join us by adding your name to our petition urging Senate Majority Leader Schumer to bring universal background checks, a common-sense gun safety measure, to a vote on the Senate floor.
We need as many people as possible to sign on to our petition so Senator Schumer and all of Congress hears our message loud and clear when they get back to their jobs – we need universal background checks now.
Over 90% of Americans support universal background checks for every firearm sale, and with a gun safety majority in Congress, there’s no reason Senator Schumer shouldn’t bring this bill to a vote. Add your name in support of Senator Schumer bringing universal background checks to the Senate floor for a vote >>
Thanks for signing,
