Friends,

I’m running for mayor because I know DC’s potential. That’s why I’m raising my kids here and that’s why I’m so proud of my hometown. But right now, under our current leadership, DC isn’t living up to its full potential. With only 40% of Black and Brown elementary students reading on grade level, affordable housing being nearly impossible to find, and the homicide rate going up every year, I know that we can and must do better.

Even with record-breaking budgets, problems aren’t being solved — because we have a leadership problem. We need to elect a mayor who will address issues head-on. That’s what I’ve done my entire career, and as mayor, that’s exactly what I’ll do. 

Will you join our movement to help DC and all its residents live up to our highest promises and biggest possibilities by making a contribution of $10, $25, $50, or whatever you can do today?

If we work together, we can accomplish so much, from safer streets to an education system that works for every child and so much more. I hope you’ll join me in this fight.
