Across sub-Saharan Africa, elephants are at risk of extinction due to trophy hunting, habitat loss and illegal poaching for the ivory trade.
The Elephant Family is a wild herd living in Amboseli National Park, Kenya, monitored by the Born Free-supported Amboseli Elephant Research Project. Established in 1973, the project is Africa’s longest running study of wild elephants and a vital source of information about elephant behaviour and social dynamics.
By adopting The Elephant Family you will be helping to monitor and protect African elephants in the wild.
