Dear Friends:

Oregon’s workers have been through so much in recent years. From the pandemic and workplace closures to sky-high housing prices and now broad-based inflation, our workers need an ally in Salem. That’s why I am running for Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) office.

BOLI can do more to help ensure the availability of affordable and workforce housing by helping employers, employees, landlords and builders coordinate to provide the housing Oregon families desperately need. I will provide the leadership needed to make BOLI the asset Oregon’s workers and small businesses need to propel a growing economy that benefits all Oregonians.

My campaign is already running with a focus on creating opportunities for Oregon workers, and getting results, not mere rhetoric. ([link removed])

As a working mom and small business owner, I understand the daily challenges facing our families and our community during this unprecedented health and economic crisis. Oregon needs a practical voice to advocate for working families and small businesses. I understand pandemic exhaustion, and the toll of rising prices for food, housing, and fuel. I bring 18 years of firsthand knowledge of the impacts rules and regulations have on employees and employers.

Small businesses make Oregon’s economy go. BOLI should help strengthen the relationship between small businesses and their employees by making its regulations easy to understand for everyone involved and creating apprenticeship and housing programs that help small business employees thrive in Oregon.

You’ve been with me when I served nine-years on the Bend-La Pine School Board, and during my service as State Representative. Thank you so much, it has meant a lot to me over the years.
