Nika for Senate's first Volunteer Training and canvass launch on March 26th, 2022.
Hi John,
Team Nika rocked it! I'm energized by the momentum we've built in just the last ten days. Our first volunteer canvass launch was packed and had folks from all seven 2nd Suffolk neighborhoods! We aimed for our Team Nika Neighborhood March Madness Competition to generate a couple of thousand dollars ….it generated over $10,000!! We received contributions from all seven neighborhoods, the rest of Boston, towns across Massachusetts, and Friends and Family supporters nationally. (Winners and tallies will be announced soon, by the way 😉).
Over the last 10 days, I spent time with business leaders, street youth workers, student leaders, LGBTQ+ youth and elders, local artists, cyclists, City workers, did advocacy meetings on housing, education, climate, child healthcare, revenue, and worked on the Department of Correction Structural Racism Report. You power this work with your support and by showing up in so many ways!
I have so many stories to share! I'm grateful to you for making it possible for us to get the word out about our work and the opportunities ahead. Whether you've been on Team Nika since 2017 or joined up this month, you mean the world to me.
Thank you! I'm stoked to continue meeting with voters across the district. You're powering that too.
