The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that he will attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Nagoya, Japan, from November 22–23, 2019.
At the G20 meeting, the Minister will participate in discussions related to free trade and global governance, the Sustainable Development Goals, and support for Africa. He will also take the opportunity to engage with his counterparts to advance Canadian interests.
The Minister will also participate in the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Initiative (NPDI) to demonstrate strong support for the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), a key part of the rules-based international order.
