Friends,

It’s the first of the month, and while plenty of people are making jokes today, this email is no laughing matter. 

In order to win this race, we have to go against Mayor Bowser’s fundraising machine. We’ve set a big fundraising goal for the next 10 days. Please chip in today so we can reach our goal and keep growing our grassroots momentum. It’s the only way we can win this thing.

The mayor has had eight years to solve problems, and they still haven’t been fixed. She has proven what she can do and it has proven to not be enough. We need a Mayor to make DC’s future inclusive and just. I’m running to serve my city — my home. I know that together, we can create a DC that works for all of us. Please chip in to ensure our campaign succeeds.
