Here’s what our movement is up against right now:

1. The anti-choice movement is escalating its attacks on our fundamental freedoms and doing whatever they can to strip away our access to abortion care. Lawmakers in 41 states have introduced 525 restrictions undermining abortion access this year alone, according to the Guttmacher Institute.


2. We have an anti-choice supermajority on the U.S. Supreme Court that is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade in the coming months. If Roe falls, 28 states would likely move to ban abortion outright and 13 of them already have trigger bans in place that will automatically ban abortion, leaving millions without access to the abortion care they need.


3. The 2022 midterm elections are quickly approaching. We have an opportunity to elect and protect leaders for reproductive freedom up and down the ballot. If we want to pass legislation that protects and expands access to abortion care then we need to elect leaders who are ready to do just that.
