Dear John,
As Women's History Month comes to an end, I want to take a moment to share the joy and gratitude that I feel for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson and the many trailblazing Black women on whose shoulders she stands.
As a Black woman, fellow attorney and graduate of Harvard law school, I feel very connected to Judge Jackson's story and the challenges that she has faced. Her story has resonated with so many women — because it is our story too:
Being told not to aspire to go to the best schools ...
Being talked over or ignored in meetings ...
Being denied credit for our ideas and contributions ...
Navigating systems that weren't designed for our success.
Facing misogyny and racism head on is bruising. And I've learned that to get through it, you need a community of people who believe in you and will help you get through difficult times.
We must be part of that community for Judge Jackson, and we are here to make sure nothing steals the joy of this moment.
That’s why we’re putting together a thank you card for Judge Jackson, thanking her for her willingness to serve, thanking her for her perseverance, and thanking her for the brilliant insights that she will bring to the Supreme Court everyday. We want to encourage her and let her know that we stand with her and will have her back every step of the way.
What better way to celebrate Women's History Month than to share your joy and appreciation for this remarkable, extraordinary Black woman jurist with me?

Thank you!
