The first day to request an absentee ballot is TODAY.
That means people will be voting as early as next week. And I have to be honest – we currently are falling short to implement a robust outreach effort in the final 50 days. Our path to victory hinges on:
- Our door knocking program — to meet voters face to face
- Our mailer program — to spread our message all over the district
- Our TV ads — to reach folks at home
We are already spending down to zero every single day to connect with voters. I’ve crunched the numbers and to execute this winning strategy we have to raise $48,232 more by Thursday at midnight.

Our very first end of quarter FEC filing is a big deal, for two reasons:
- After we submit our End of Quarter FEC filing, our financial strength will be public knowledge. We know our report will be analyzed thoroughly by the media, pundits, and our opponents. They will be looking for any weakness for proof that Clay doesn’t have what it takes to win in a little over a month.
- This is our ONLY quarterly filing before the election! It’s our last chance to show our strength before people start voting. There is no room for error – we MUST hit our goal!
