TONIGHT: For the first time this election cycle, an all-women panel will
moderate the Democratic primary debate. On behalf of women and people who
can get pregnant everywhere, we're urging debate moderators to
#AskAboutAbortion and about candidates' plans to combat attacks on our
reproductive freedom. [ [link removed] ]Join us — sign your name!

We spoke up, we spoke out, and our voices were heard,
John.

During the last presidential debate, moderators heard our demands, and
they asked questions about abortion and the current threats to our
reproductive freedom. Many of the Democratic presidential candidates
responded to our call as well, sharing their plans to protect abortion
access and discussing ways to help ensure that reproductive freedom is a
reality for everyone.

None of this would be possible without the strong support and pressure
from members like you — and we’re grateful so many of you have spoken out!
But our work isn’t over; now that candidates have had the chance to speak
about their plans on a national stage, we must make sure abortion remains
at the forefront of the 2020 election. Are you in?

debate moderators #AskAboutAbortion on November 20th at 9 p.m. ET.

This is the first debate that will feature an all-woman panel of
moderators — and we’re urging them to ask, on the behalf of women and
people who can get pregnant around the country, to take the threats to our
reproductive freedom seriously. We want more than platitudes — we need
concrete answers about how candidates will take action to protect and
expand abortion access.

moderators #AskAboutAbortion. Candidates must speak out and share their
plans for combating blatant assaults on our reproductive freedom.

Wednesday’s debate will be held in Georgia, where an extreme ban on
abortion was passed that, if enacted, could throw women in jail for having
an abortion or miscarriage.^1 This dangerous ban would not only put
pregnant people and their doctors at risk of prosecution, but could also
put their health and safety in grave danger. Georgia has one of the
highest rates of maternal mortality in the nation — a problem that
disproportionately affects Black women.^2

To show the network airing the debate we’re serious about not backing
down, we’ve launched ads targeting MSNBC, The Washington Post, and debate
moderators calling on them to continue asking questions about abortion
access and the major threat to reproductive freedom in Georgia.

We need your help to keep up the drumbeat. [ [link removed] ]Take action now.

Thank you for all you do for reproductive freedom,

Laura Simmons
Southeast Regional Director, NARAL Pro-Choice America
