Following the confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, we want to take a moment to highlight another historic nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court: Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
When Justice Sotomayor was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate in 2009, she became the first Latina to serve on the Court. Now, in 2022, we’re facing another history-making moment. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black woman ever to serve on the Supreme Court.
