Hi there – I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. I’m Tom Nelson and I’m running for the U.S. Senate to defeat Ron Johnson.

I’m in this race to fight for working families and push for progressive policies like Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and legislation that will tax the nation’s plutocrat billionaires.

But here’s the thing – unlike my opponents, including Ron Johnson, I’m not a multimillionaire. I’m a pastor's son and family man who’s spent my life in the Fox Valley. I’m a county executive in a red county. I’m ready to win this race, but my bank account doesn’t include numbers with tons of zeroes in it.

This matters because my team and I are coming up on our first critical quarterly FEC (Federal Election Commission) deadline of Election Year, and since I can’t self-fund my own campaign, I’m dependent on grassroots support to power our movement. If we don’t have a strong report – we will not be taken seriously in this race. It is crucial we show the media, our millionaire opponents, and Ron Johnson that we mean business.

We’re in the fight of our lives. My finance team tells me that to really show our grassroots support is strong – we need to raise at least another $20,000 before Thursday at midnight.
