The cost of living in the San Diego region is making it unlivable. That's why my biggest priority in the California Assembly will be supporting our working families.
According to the Voice of San Diego, rents have risen by 30% while available housing has dropped by 80%. Incomes haven't kept up with skyrocketing home prices, and hardworking folks are left to make tough decisions.
I grew up in Barrio Logan. I love the South Bay and the people in it. But there's a lot of work we have to do — expanding affordable housing, investing in public transportation, standing up for worker rights — to address the rising cost of living.
