Here’s why reaching this goal is so important:
Every three months, candidates for federal office have to report their fundraising to the Federal Election Commission. The FEC is tasked with collecting and reporting election data, including campaign fundraising and finances. Federal campaigns like ours submit reports to the FEC on a quarterly basis.
Political pundits, the media, and potential opponents use these reports to gauge the support behind our movement and the strength of our grassroots campaign. It’s a way of creating transparency in our elections. And it’s also an important test of our team’s strength.
With a primary opponent and multiple GOP opponents eyeing Mondaire’s seat, it’s incredibly important we publish strong numbers to fend off well-funded challengers.
