“Investing In Our Planet means taking action. For individuals, invest your time in cleaning up your local community. It’s one of the easiest ways to participate in Earth Day and get involved in larger environmental action,” said Kathleen Rogers, President, EARTHDAY.ORG.
Clean ups are fast, free, and fun! Grab your family and friends and make it a community building activity that also benefits your environment.
The impact of cleanups is exponential. As one of the world’s largest coordinated volunteer events, this program makes tangible impacts on the environment. Removing billions of pieces of waste through grassroots efforts, this program aims to inspire, educate, and motivate individuals to partake in cleanups. Take ownership of not only your local environment but the entire planet.

“These cleanups finally, after decades and decades of doing them, have finally pushed many people to support an end to plastics,” said President Rogers. "We have become much more aware of our own habits in relation to waste. With this new understanding, let us go forth aiming to reverse the impacts of our consumption and take steps to a cleaner and healthier planet."
