Our planet is in peril. As global temperatures rise at an alarming rate, our federal government has a moral obligation to meet this moment and act now.
To get the ball rolling, Mondaire recently joined nearly 90 colleagues in urging President Biden to restart negotiations on the $555 billion in transformational climate provisions contained in the Build Back Better Act.
President Biden’s leadership is imperative to finalizing this once-in-a-generation legislation that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and ensure a livable future for generations to come. Mondaire is eager to partner with fellow Democrats and get this critical legislation across the finish line, but it’s going to take a group effort.
In recent months, the Biden Administration has made great strides to halve US greenhouse gas emissions by tightening fuel mileage and enacting funding for a nationwide charging network—but we still have more work to do.
The climate provisions in the Build Back Better Act will further our commitment to lead on climate justice, fund sustainable infrastructure projects, and expand good-paying job opportunities for folks across our country.
