Hey John,
Every day, gun violence kills more than 110 Americans, and yet Congress still hasn’t taken action. Next week marks four years since hundreds of thousands of us marched in D.C. and at 800 sister marches across the country. Americans overwhelmingly support common-sense gun safety legislation, but we’re still waiting on Congress to do their jobs.
We are done with Congress only offering us thoughts and prayers. We need urgent action that will save lives. While we have the House and Senate majority, this is the time for House Majority Leader Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Schumer to pass common-sense gun safety legislation. John, can you add your name in support of Rep. Pelosi and Sen. Schumer taking urgent action for gun safety legislation?
Right now, Congress can pass universal background checks, ban assault weapons, and pass Ethan's Law to ensure safe storage of firearms. Gun violence is a public health crisis in America that our elected leaders have left untreated for too long, and it has cost the lives of innocent people.
We need Congress to act now. Add your name and tell Rep. Pelosi and Sen. Schumer to take action to end gun violence.
Thanks for taking action,
Matthew Hogenmiller
