Before Robert was elected mayor, he was a teacher and college educator. Robert understands that there is no better investment than in early childhood education and universal pre-K.

Right now, so many families are strapped by the economic burden of expensive child care. Universal pre-K would give California families the chance to access child care while parents return to work, and give so many children a head-start on education and socialization that is key to success in elementary school and beyond.

Every parent should be able to afford child care, and every parent should be able to send their kids to a quality pre-K provider. Robert Garcia will fight for universal pre-K in Congress.
