For the past few months, Rep. Donald Payne Jr. and his team have been leveling disgusting, sexist attacks against Imani — degrading her record, ignoring her work for our communities, and calling her unqualified.
And you know what? We think that’s pretty ironic, coming from a man who’s never finished anything he’s started. His track record is one of squandered opportunity.
Sure, Rep. Payne Jr. got himself elected to Congress on his father’s coattails.
But he barely shows up — and at times when he does, he can’t even be bothered to get dressed for work.
And sure, when he was younger, he got into college with his tuition covered.
But he quit.
And now, he’s trying to attack Imani — a woman who grew up struggling to make ends meet, earned three degrees, and built a career for herself improving the lives of people who’ve been left behind by a corrupt system . . . the same system that let people like Donald Payne Jr. get ahead without putting in the work.
