Climate change is a national emergency, folks. No matter what Republicans say, the threat is real and getting worse every day. We can’t afford to ignore it – especially in Rhode Island. If it continues on its current trajectory, the climate crisis will devastate our fishing and tourism industries, which support nearly 90,000 Rhode Island jobs and more than $7 billion in economic activity for our state each year. That’s why it’s so shameful that the Trump administration has begun the process of officially withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. The challenges we are facing are too urgent: Sign on NOW to demand that Trump keep the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement → We would be the only country not in the Paris Climate Agreement. We’re doing less on climate change than Syria, Iran, and North Korea! It’s time for the President and his Republican allies to stop doing the bidding of fossil fuel CEOs and stop denying the urgent crisis of climate change. Climate change is real. We ignore it at our peril. What Donald Trump is doing will set us back YEARS in this fight and we have to push back. Thanks for speaking out, -- Team Cicilline
