John,

Each May, we used to gather for our Green Tie Awards, to honor environmental champions who have stepped up to protect every North Carolinian's right to clean air, clean water, and clean energy.

The last two years, because of the pandemic, we held virtual Green Tie Awards in October. Well, this year, we're sticking with the fall ... but we'll be back in person!

In recent years, our keynote speakers have included Sen. Cory Booker, Gov. Roy Cooper, former Maryland Congresswoman Donna Edwards, and First Lady Kristin Cooper.

We have given awards to Jeff Jackson, Deb Butler, Josh Stein, Erica Smith, Brian Turner, Jay Chaudhuri, Robert Reives, Pricey Harrison, Molly Diggins, Jane Preyer, and other stars.

Who will we honor this year? Who will our special guests be? Stay tuned to find out. But you can go ahead and reserve your tickets today, John!
