We cannot believe we have to share this, but the Georgia Senate just passed a bill that would abolish the requirement to obtain a permit to carry a handgun in public, and Gov. Kemp is expected to sign it into law any day now.

Rather than deliver real legislation that actually helps Georgia families, like when New Mexico passed tuition-free college last month, Gov. Kemp and the Georgia GOP consistently cater to outside interest groups and partisan extremists first.

They are not looking out for folks like us, team, and it is time to let them know that we have had enough – that Georgians come first.

This isn’t the first time Brian Kemp put partisan posturing before the people. To recap:

❌ Kemp oversaw a purge of Georgia’s voter rolls before his own election (he then won)
❌ Kemp signed Georgia’s atrocious anti-abortion into law, in violation of Roe protections
❌ Kemp signed Georgia’s anti-voting bill into law, inspiring other GOP-led states to follow

This list goes on and on, and it paints one picture: Brian Kemp and the Georgia GOP are actively working against a healthy democracy in our state.
