“We are storming the capitol. We will save this nation. Are u with me?”

You might think this is a quote from someone like Alex Jones, the infamous “QAnon Shaman,” or a leader of the Proud Boys.

In fact, John, it was my GOP opponent, Rick Saccone, who posted this message to his Facebook page — along with a video showing himself among the mob of insurrectionists that violently attacked our democracy on January 6, 2021.

Rick Saccone refers to himself as “Trump before Trump.” He narrowly lost the 2018 special election for Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District by just 755 votes — or 0.4%. And if there’s any lesson we learned from the legacy of the former president, it’s that we need to take him seriously.

Rick Saccone would be a disaster for Pennsylvanians. The thought of an insurrectionist chairing the Board of Pardons, or the Emergency Management Council — which has been critical in providing relief to families amid the COVID-19 pandemic — makes me shudder.

But John, I’m the best candidate in this race to take him down.

I’ve spent over a decade fighting for Pennsylvania families, and as the only civil rights attorney in this race, I’m prepared to tackle criminal justice reform, protect our communities from the harmful impacts of fracking, and ensure everyone in Pennsylvania can access a quality education.
