I won't lie to you, John. We're fighting an uphill battle right now. Let me explain:

FIRST, Republicans realized that if I win this race, Democrats are virtually guaranteed to expand our Senate majority.

THEN, polling showed me neck and neck with Marco Rubio, so national Republicans poured millions into Florida to stack the cards against me.

NOW, Mitch McConnell's committee is launching the first of many attack ads to defeat me – and I'm falling dangerously short of my $50,000 grassroots fundraising goal. I need to make up the difference before midnight, John.

Republicans are trying to buy this seat – no matter how much money it takes – and I desperately need more resources right now to compete with Rubio.

The last Florida Senate race was determined by just over 10,000 votes, and my race is shaping up to be JUST as close. That means it could be YOUR single donation that allows us to knock on just enough doors, call just enough Floridians and reach out to just enough voters to win.
