Friend,

It is inconceivable that, in 2022, women in the United States could still be paid less than men – and yet, we are.

The Pew Research Center recently found that the gender wage gap has remained relatively constant over the past 15 years. In general, women earn 84% of what men earn and women of color earn even less – something that women across the nation felt even more acutely during the pandemic.

It is long past time for women to be paid equally, and this Women’s History Month, I am calling on Congress to learn from the lessons of the pandemic and protect women’s wages now.

If you are with me, friend, add your name alongside mine and demand that Congress do more to protect women’s wages and guarantee equal pay >>> [link removed]

Decades of unequal pay have dragged out the harmful treatment and stigmatization of women in the workplace, but thanks to trailblazers who paved the way, women now occupy leadership positions on executive boards, governing bodies, and even as heads of state.

Women have fought hard to earn our seats at the table, and it is long past time for us to earn the same wages.

That is why I was proud to support the Paycheck Fairness Act last year, which would establish a National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force to better address compliance, public education, and enforcement of equal pay laws.

Every passing day that women are paid less is another day that our nation fails to live up to its ideals. So please, take a moment to add your name to my petition and demand equal pay for equal work for women TODAY >>> [link removed]

Thank you,

Carolyn
